Maker of the Day: Lucy Harding


Specialising in tetxiles and cermics, Lucy Harding's work focuses on the ‘Milk Round’ and the decline of the milkman.
Creating up-cycled and new ceramics which feature prints of her door step illustrations plus textile cosies, wall pieces and aprons.
Lucy’s work captures an almost forgotten service as the majority of people now use the supermarkets to purchase their milk.

Maker of the Day: Rachel Ainley


Rachel is an artist whose work celebrates the domestic in textiles. Based in Nottingham, she designs and makes one off pieces that are lively, bold and colourful.
Motifs from nature, recycled fabrics plus retro pattern and styling come together in a range of beautiful objects to use and use again.
The 20th century world of the tea and coffee cosy, the peg and lavender bag is reinvented with a witty and theatrical twist.
With a theatre painting background, and an eye for collection of vintage fabrics, she draws in past histories and memories, creating contemporary collections, and fresh rituals.

Barbara Coulam is a designer and maker of glass sculptures and creates decorative glass items such as bowls, tiles, plaques and contemporary jewellery.
Recycling bottles and old windows, Barbara produces functional pieces that take on a unique character of their own, as well as hand crafted forms in clear crystal glass.
