Get crafty this Christmas and make your very own Christmas card. With glitter, coloured paper and more, make something fun and creative. The event is free but do remember to bring an adult.

Lego Christmas Fun
Saturday, 8 December 2012, 11:00AM - 4:00PM

Make your own sleigh and design something different so Santa can get around in style. Enjoy a fun selection of lego and a sweet treat for all finished sleighs. The event is free but do remember to bring an adult.

Latest News: Dates Confirmed for Winter Fairs

Craft in the City presents 2 superb opportunities for local designer makers to exhibit and sell in Nottingham city centre. 
 

Winter Craft Fair at St Peter’s Church (next to Marks & Spencers)
Lister Gate
Saturday 10th November 2012
10.30am – 4.00pm

Craft in the City are delighted to present the first ever winter craft fair at St Peter’s church. A prominent landmark; the church has many visitors as it stands in the very heart of the city on one of the busiest shopping thoroughfares in Nottingham.
At the same time as the craft fair there will be charity Christmas cards on sale by Cards for Good Causes. This has been an annual event hosted by St Peter’s for 15 years and attracts many regular visitors.
This one day only event will book up quickly so please return your applications no later than 12th September.

Each weekend in December leading up to Christmas 2012
Once more Craft in the City have been invited back to Waterstones to bring together some of the region’s best designers and makers of affordable contemporary crafts. The fairs will take place each weekend in December and this year an extra date has been added to make the most of customers shopping on the last weekend before Christmas. Waterstones has a long history of promoting and presenting crafts to the public and offers an excellent open space for shoppers to browse and purchase the crafts on offer. Its central location makes it easily accessible during the busy Christmas period.

Sherwood Art Week starts this weekend with the Festival on Woodthorpe Park, Art In Shops, workshops all week, exhibitions next weekend plus the Secret Garden Craft Fair - craft stalls, live music, sunshine, great atmosphere & beer!

Craft In the City June 2012


A Celebration of Historic and Contemporary Crafts
 Jubilee Weekend Saturday 2nd June 2012

St Mary’s Church, The Lace Market, Nottingham
10.30 am – 5.00 pm                 

Craft in the City is celebrating Nottingham’s heritage crafts and its present day designer makers. This 1 day event will be a spectacle of talented makers selling their crafts together with demonstrations of historic craftsmanship. 

St. Mary’s Church in the Lace Market will showcase this unique combination of historic and contemporary craft practitioners.

The event will take place in the nave of St Mary’s Church. Performance, demonstrations, displays and food stalls will be sited in the grounds along with refreshments of Pimm’s and local Real Ales.
Weather permitting 2D artworks will be displayed on the railings surrounding the Church. There will also be live music inside.
