Maker of the Day: Catherine Foley

Textile artist Catherine Foley uses found materials to provide the main inspiration for her work.
She deconstructs garments such as woollen jumpers and satin dresses, and creates fashion bags by felting, dyeing and stitching. Some are handknitted from natural Aran wool. All are individually handcrafted and each one is unique.
She is particularly interested in colour, texture and contrasting surfaces.

Craft In The City Dates:
Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th

  1. I've had one of these lovely bags for some years.
It has worn very well and is still in regular use.

Catherine has such great attention to detail and I love how well finished they are.
